Because Twitter is Twitter, and because I’m me, I committed to writing one million words in 2021. Yes, you read that correctly: one million words.
My lofty goals are:
No Good Comes: When You Dig Up the Dead 100K (rewriting my shoddy false start in 3rd person instead of 1st)
No Good Comes: When the Night Talks Back 100K
No Good Comes: From a Haunted Hearse 100K
No Good Comes: When the World’s Full of Hazards 100K
Feverish 1 75K
Feverish 2 75K
Feverish 3 75K
Feverish 4 75K
DeMobbed 1 100K
DeMobbed 2 100K
90 Blooms & a Wishing Well 20K
Thirteen 30K
Magpie’s Garden 25K
Hollow 25K
Will I get there? Who knows? But I will make heavy progress, and I’ll never know if I don’t try.
I’m using the NaNoWriMo website to track my wordcount for each story and the project as a whole, and the Tasks app on my tablet because it’s so simple and pretty. I’m still deciding if using a bullet journal will help keep me on track, or just be another thing to keep on top of. As usual, I’ll be using Scrivener for drafting, and might make use of Campfire Blaze if I have time to play.
You can follow my progress, and that of my writing buddies using #OneMillionWords on Twitter.
